The Researching Medical Learning and Practice (RMLP) network is a specialist interest group linked to the Centre for Excellence in Work-Based Learning (WLE) for education professionals at the Institute of Education, University of London.
This wide network (RMLP) consists of a group of practitioners interested in researching medical learning and practice consisting of:
post-graduate and doctoral students,
alumni,
medical educators,
clinicians and
a wide range of colleagues with an inter-professional interest in health care, education and work based learning.
Key to the development of the network is the RMPL Planning Group. The membership of this group is currently composed of academics from medical schools in the UK, the WLE, faculties within the wider Institute of Education, the Dean of the Doctoral School and doctoral students. It has as its terms of reference:
To facilitate and plan events including conferences and seminars to support high quality research in medical learning and practice
To develop and maintain a network of interested people
To promote the work of the RMLP network and liaise with appropriate bodies in medicine and broader health education
To disseminate news, events, research and literature that would be of interest to the network, doctoral students at the Institute and the wider medical education community.
If you are interested in joining the network and getting advance notice about future events, then please e-mail Vivien Cook.
