The Centre invites original proposals from Institute staff and Centre Associates.

Projects can be research-based (empirical and/or theoretical), policy-orientated, conceptual or course-related.

Colleagues interested in working with the Centre may submit applications for the third round either for short-term projects of up to ten days or longer term projects of 0.1fte or 0.2 fte (internal secondment for full-time staff) for the academic year 2007-08.

Proposals within the following overarching themes will
be considered:
•  the relationship between theory, pedagogy and learning;
•  the relationship between work, learning and professional practice;
•  the relationship between pedagogy, assessment and learning.

Proposals are expected to cover at least two of the following underpinning dimensions:
•  the use of new technologies;
•  interdisciplinarity;
•  social justice and equity incl.  widening participation;
•  an emphasis on the workplace as site for learning;
•  collaboration, partnership and innovation.

Proposals of no more than 1500  words using the headings outlined below
