CETL SPLINT Visiting Fellowship Scheme Print
Tuesday, 03 June 2008

The Spatial Literacy in Teaching (SPLINT) Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is a consortium of three institutional partners: the University of Leicester (lead), University of Nottingham and University College London. It aims to enhance the teaching and learning of spatial literacy. Each of the partner institutions run internationally renowned and successful M-Level programmes that focus on geospatial technologies and spatial literacy. They also offer undergraduate programmes and postgraduate research degrees that include geospatial technologies and spatial literacy.

The Visiting Fellowship Scheme seeks to attract colleagues working in HEIs in the UK and overseas to come and work with staff in one of the three SPLINT sites on aspects of spatial literacy/spatial thinking for a specified period of time so that both parties can enhance their expertise.

This might be attractive to:

  • A member of staff from outside the UK, who would like to spend all or part of their sabbatical with us on working on a joint project concerned with an aspect of spatial literacy.
  • A member of staff from within the UK, who would like to work with us on a joint project concerned with an aspect of spatial literacy.
  • A member of staff (including educational developers) at one of our three SPLINT universities who would like to develop a joint project with SPLINT staff.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 31 July 2008
