As part of the Higher Education Funding Council for England's (HEFCE) ten-year e-learning strategy, the Academy, in partnership with Joint Information Services Comittee (JISC), is leading two related, and complementary, e-learning initiatives over a three-year period (2005-2008):

• a Pathfinder Programme
